Leah has been supporting students, faculty and other professionals in their writing processes for over a decade.
She has a passion for working one-on-one with students to help them realize their life dreams and goals. She really enjoys engaging with students to develop exceptional personal essays for their applications to undergraduate and graduate level university programs and for scholarships, fellowships and international exchange programs.
She is extremely gifted at assisting students in uncovering connections between their lived experiences (successes and achievements as well as trials and tribulations); their academic and professional experiences; their personal values and ethics and their future goals. She is talented at recognizing and focusing on how students fit with or make them a good candidate for each unique institutional program, scholarship, fellowship, internship or other similar pursuit. In fact, to this date, every student Leah has worked with has gained acceptance into their university of choice and/or has received the scholarship they were applying to. Moreover, she has been successful in helping many students apply for and receive fellowships and scholarships they were able to use to fund their entire course of post-graduate studies.
Leah is also skilled at and enjoys working with diverse high school, undergraduate and graduate students with their academic writing processes for class assignments and research, assisting them in developing their critical thinking, writing and editing skills in order to achieve the best piece of written work possible.
Students benefit from Leah’s love for editing and assisting them in their writing processes and from her deeper commitment to teaching them how to learn and think critically in order to be successful in their life pursuits. She has been awarded high-level teaching awards.
Furthermore, Leah is experienced at editing book chapters, journal articles and various other pieces of academic or professional writing. She has worked with PhD students, university professors and other specialists/experts in their respective fields. She has also worked with professors in Latin America in translating their academic pieces of writing from Spanish to English for submission to top academic journals.
Leah is fluent in both English and Spanish and able to easily work with students, faculty, and other professionals in both languages.
